About The School

The Academy of Learning and Development was started in June 2012 with the view of making use of all the knowledge and skills that founders, Arti and Ajinkya Deo, had learned and acquired over the past six years, for the benefit of other children with special needs. They understood the predicament that parents of children with special needs faced and the sense of helplessness and confusion that followed after the diagnosis. Hence the main aim of the school has been to make different modalities and programs accessible to parents of children with special needs. At the inception of the Academy in 2012, they introduced the Glenn Doman Program through its adaptation in a school setting. But soon they realized that working with children with special needs needed a holistic approach in order to be effective, efficient and achieve outcomes across all domains.

The Director of the school, Arti Deo, continues to further her education in the field of Special Needs and since starting the school she has completed the Anat Baniel Method NeuroMovement (ABMNM) Basic Training, Children’s Mastery, Vitality & Anti-Aging and High Performers Program from the United States of America. She is the only ABMNM practitioner in Maharashtra and the only one in the country to have completed all levels of the training.
