We believe that ‘Special Children’ are the result of brain injury and not a disease. Tightness or floppiness in the muscles, poor vision, inadequate social skills, poor or no eye contact, slurred or no speech, language and communication deficits, attention deficits, all are symptoms; the root cause of which is brain injury. The type of symptoms and their severity depend on the extent and location of the brain injury.

Principle of Neuroplasticity: The brain can adapt and change by making new connections and laying down new pathways / maps throughout life.

Some of the basic principles that we believe in are:

• The brain learns through differentiation

• The brain grows with use

• The brain continues to grow even after the age of six

• The rate of growth of the brain can even be increased

• Function determines structure

• New pathways can be created in the brain

• Dormant cells can be trained to take over the function of impaired cells

• Babies and Children love to learn as long as they are taught in an honest, factual and joyous manner
